The Capital Journal, the leading newspaper in the state’s capital, is seeking a dynamic and passionate general assignment reporter to become part of our editorial team.

In this exciting position, you will report on a wide array of stories that capture the heart and soul of Pierre and Fort Pierre. You will have the chance to cover everything from local sports, featuring our celebrated 7-time state championship football team, to the vibrant outdoor activities that our community loves, such as biking, fishing, and hunting. In addition, you will dig into local education matters and highlight unique features and enterprise stories that matter to our readers.
