WASTEWATER OPERATOR
Mon Valley Sewage Authority is currently accepting applications for a WASTEWATER OPERATOR. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wastewater Operator to join our team. The operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater facilities to ensure safe and efficient service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. * Maintain accurate records. * Perform custodial duties and grounds maintenance as needed. * Painting and upkeep of equipment and buildings. * Collaborate with team members to ensure the efficient and effective operation of wastewater treatment facilities. * Operate a forklift and pallet jack. * Respond to alarms and emergency situations. * Perform other duties assigned by the CHIEF OPERATOR OR GENERAL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Possess or obtain, within 4 years, PA wastewater license class B, E and subclass 1, 4. * The ability to perform heavy lifting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing to various heights is a must. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Effective communication skills. * Valid driver's license. * This is a union job subject to collective bargaining agreement.
