Deputy Director - Sacramento or Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) Position Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Deputy Director will work to fulfill the organizational mission through streamlining and improving internal systems to be more efficient and effective, working on short- and long-term organizational planning, and program development. Specific duties range from development (helping create, develop, fund and nurture new programs) to administration (systems improvements, reporting, board management), and performance management (mentoring, career progression, staff management, evaluation). The Deputy Director will partner closely with the ED to chart Health Access's future growth and strategic responses to build power and run efficiently. The Deputy Director will aim to keep the organization functioning to its highest capacity. Under the direction of the ED, the Deputy Director will assist in the management of the supervisory staff of the organization, including the setting and monitoring of both process and outcome goals, developing and mentoring staff, as well as ensuring the organization accomplishes tasks to meet its overall goals. The position will also partner closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Communications Officer (CCO). This position is hybrid, with occasional in-person work based at Health Access' Sacramento or Los Angeles headquarters. There may be occasional travel within and outside of the state. Compensation & Benefits: The anticipated salary range for the Deputy Director is $125,000 - 150,000. Depending on qualifications, a successful candidate can be hired above or below this range.
