Heating Oil & Propane Delivery Driver

Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Heating Oil & Propane Delivery Driver to
deliver fuel to residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate must have a CDL with
hazardous materials and tanker endorsements, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent
customer service skills. This role involves operating delivery trucks, handling fuel transfer
equipment, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely load, transport, and deliver heating oil and/or propane to customer locations.
• Operate delivery truck and fuel transfer systems in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and
company safety standards.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets, meter readings, and customer receipts.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Monitor tank levels and report any safety or equipment issues.
• Maintain delivery schedules while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or
issues.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and delivering hazardous materials.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or A with Hazmat (H) and Tanker
(N) endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Previous fuel delivery or tanker truck driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of heating fuel systems and propane handling (preferred but not required –
will train).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to safety procedures.

Work Conditions:
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Requires physical activity including lifting hoses, climbing, and standing for long
periods.
• On-call, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required during peak season.
