CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNDERWRITERS Sterling Insurance Company is seeking experienced Property and Casualty Underwriters to join our team. Qualifications •Minimum of three years of property and casualty underwriting experience, or agency experience working directly with carrier underwriters • Demonstrated ability to analyze risk characteristics, interpret coverage forms and apply underwriting guidelines • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail • Thehighest standards of integrity and ethics • Insurance designations such as Associate in Insurance (AINS), Associate in Underwriting (AU), or Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or comparable insurance education • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree Compensation and Benefits • Competitive salary with an annual profit-sharing bonus •Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Pension and 401(k) plans • Paid time off, company-paid holidays, and flexible schedule options • Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance •On-site fitness center,wellness incentives, and employee assistance program •Matching program for charitable donations • 37.5 hour work week • Hybrid work schedule (three days in our Cobleskill, NY office and two remote each week) Compensation Range The starting base salary range for these positions is $50,000 to $80,000+, with final compensation determined by relevant experience, expertise, qualifications, and education.
