Full-Time Furniture Mover/Sales Associate

The Exchange, a nonprofit consignment store serving Sarasota since 1962, is seeking a dependable and personable full-time Furniture Mover/Sales Associate.

The primary responsibility is safely moving furniture into, out of, and throughout the store. This includes handling incoming and outgoing furniture, arranging and displaying pieces on the sales floor, and hanging pictures and wall art. When not handling furniture, this position assists customers and helps in other areas of the store as needed.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. independently and safely handle heavier furniture with assistance. Must be comfortable working on a ladder and follow proper lifting and moving safety procedures. Previous furniture moving or similar experience is preferred.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, personable, works well with others, and has a good eye for arranging and displaying furniture.

Hours are 8: 00 a.m.4: 00 p.m., with Saturdays required. We offer a competitive wage ($18-$20 per hour), health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, and a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan.

Salary/Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
