DPW Laborer

Full-Time | $22.50 per Hour | CDL Required

The Village of South Dayton is seeking a dependable and hardworking DPW Laborer to join its Department of Public Works team. This full-time position performs a variety of hands-on duties related to the maintenance and operation of municipal streets, water and sewer systems, public property, and equipment.

Responsibilities may include operating trucks and other municipal equipment, snow plowing and removal, street and grounds maintenance, general labor, equipment maintenance, and assisting with water and sewer system projects. The DPW Laborer will work both independently and as part of a team to help maintain Village infrastructure and provide reliable services to the community.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with manual transmission or Class B CDL with trailer endorsement required

• Experience operating trucks, plows, or other heavy equipment preferred

• Previous snow plowing experience is a plus

• Experience with equipment maintenance and repair preferred

• Water, sewer, construction, or municipal public works experience is a plus

• Ability to safely perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
