City of Brooklyn Employment Opening Notice The City of Brooklyn invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Laborer in the Service Department. There are currently two (2) openings. Interested applicants can obtain employment applications on the City of Brooklyns website. Qualifications: High school or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience necessary to perform essential functions of position. Duties: Under the general direction of the Service Department foreman or skilled worker, assist with the maintenance and repairing of city streets, buildings and grounds, rubbish and recycling, street sweeping, sewer cleaning, leaf pick up, general cleaning, grass cutting and general landscaping. Salary will be determined based upon the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and Liuna860.
